South Africa: Whales, Wine and Diamonds
Day 1
Welcome to Cape Town
Your journey begins as you arrive in one of Africa’s most beautiful cities. You’ll check into a charming boutique hotel with gardens reminiscent of Provence.
In the evening, take a stroll along the Sea Point Promenade or the V&A Waterfront — the perfect way to feel the rhythm of the city, where the Atlantic meets a vibrant urban energy.
Day 2
Table Mountain & the Heart of Cape Town
The morning begins with a ride up Table Mountain, the city’s iconic landmark, where sweeping views of Cape Town and the ocean unfold below.
Next, you’ll explore Bo-Kaap, known for its colorful houses, fragrant spices, and rich Cape Malay heritage.
In the afternoon, visit a renowned jewelry atelier, where you’ll discover the art of fine craftsmanship, step inside the workshops, and even try your hand at polishing a diamond. The day ends with a tasting of South African gin and artisanal chocolate.
Day 3
Cape of Good Hope & Penguins
Today you’ll travel along one of the world’s most scenic coastal roads — Chapman’s Peak Drive. Carved into cliffs above the ocean, it leads to the iconic Cape of Good Hope. You can take the funicular up to the lighthouse, where, on a clear day, sweeping views of the Atlantic unfold.
Next, visit Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins nestled among giant granite boulders. In the evening, enjoy dinner overlooking the vineyards.
Day 4
Winelands
The morning begins on a wine estate surrounded by gardens and vineyards. A leisurely breakfast with fresh farm-to-table ingredients sets the tone for the day.
You’ll then follow a curated wine route across two distinct estates — from classic reds to elegant dessert wines, paired with thoughtfully crafted cuisine. A day designed for those who appreciate flavor, balance, and the art of fine living.
Day 5
Hermanus — A Coastal Retreat
The morning begins with a scenic drive to Hermanus, one of the world’s best destinations for whale watching. Along the way, you’ll stop at Betty’s Bay, home to a charming colony of penguins.
By afternoon, check in to your hotel with panoramic ocean views. In the evening, take a walk along the coastal promenade — with a bit of luck, you may spot whales right from the shore.
Day 6
Whales & Cheetahs
In the morning, set out on a cruise across the bay in search of southern right whales. During the season, they are often seen up close, making for truly unforgettable encounters. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a winery overlooking the water.
In the afternoon, visit a sanctuary for rescued cheetahs. Here, you’ll have the chance to observe them up close and hear the stories behind their rescue and care.
Day 7
Journey Home
Transfer to Cape Town Airport, with final glimpses of the ocean and mountains along the way.
You leave with a sense of Africa that stays with you — in its light, its landscapes, and memories that call you back again.
